James Molesworth awards the 2006 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Charles Giraud, St prefert 95 out of 100 points in the October edition of the Wine Spectator.
"This is really packed for the vintage, with plenty of grip holding the big core of fig sauce, raspberry ganache, black licorice, Turkish coffee and fruitcake at bay for now. Dark and juicy through the fine-grained finish, with terrific buried minerality. Stays fresh and pure, despite its weight. Best from 2009 through 2030. 450 cases made".
