To celebrate the two long weekends in May, when we are at last able to entertain family and friends, albeit still outside for the moment, we are offering a very special May Day Celebration Discount, on mixed cases of our favourite Fizz. CHAMPAGNE VILMART Vilmart, undoubtedly remains one of the brightest jewels of our portfolio. With a meticulous perfection and a fine-tuned intuition for his craft, Laurent continues to re-invent the meaning of the term, ‘perfection.’ The NV Grande Reserve and Cuvee Rubis, are the perfect way to celebrate the reunion with those who we have missed over the past months!

NV Vilmart Grande Reserve From a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. With its lovely depth of fruit and seamless balance, the Grande Reserve has always provided a great introduction to the Vilmart range. Tasting the new releases last month however, this cuvee proved quite a revelation, as Laurent has undoubtedly managed to push the boundaries of perfection again, producing a Grande Reserve with the same delicious accessibility, but with an added poise and finesse.

Vilmart Cuvee Rubis Produced from a blend of 90% Pinot Noir (including 15% red wine) and 10% Chardonnay. Many rose Champagnes seem to fall short, but this is truly sensational. With an attractive depth of colour, this is a rose of real substance, combining lovely purity and elegance with an expressive array of red and orange fruit flavours balanced by an uplifting acidity. Super poise and precision.

HERETAT MESTRES- GRAN RESERVA CAVA Specialising in Gran Reserva Cava, Mestres age the wines for a minimum of 42 months sur latte. The depth of flavour, focus and finesse is truly sensational! These are wines that will keep opening in the glass to reveal different notes and complexity and are without doubt, amongst the most exciting sparkling wines you will come across! Delicious on their own, but superb wines to enjoy with food too!

2012 Visol First produced in 1945, the ‘Visol’, translating as, ‘wine on its own’, was the first zero dosage, Brut Nature Cava. The recently released, 2012 vintage, combines floral and apple and fresh and dried apricot fruits, together with enticing complexities of baked bread, honey, vanilla and hints of balsamic. Gloriously balanced with a long stylish finish.

2013 Elena The 2013 Elena was produced from a blend of indigenous varieties comprising, 60 % Treoat, 20% Monastrell and 20% Garnacha, the base wine was vinified and matured in barrel for 4 months before bottling, then aged over 42 months sur latte. Indeed, this is the only rose Cava, matured in cask. Like Vilmart’s Cuvee Rubis. There is nothing insipid or confected about this amazingly stylish and complex wine. Bone dry on the palate, with floral and red fruit aromas, combined with hints of pastry and subtle balsamic nuances, there is a glorious freshness of fruit on the palate with the depth to shine throughout a meal.
