Scintillating Schoffit!

Tucked away on the outskirts of Colmar, Domaine Schoffit quietly and unassumingly goes about curating one of the most consistent and best ‘value for money’ ranges in all of Alsace.

We have had the distinct pleasure of working with the delicious wines from the Schoffit family ever since Bernard took over from his father Robert 30 years ago. In the intervening years, under Bernard’s assured captaincy, it has been a privilege to witness the family Domaine go from strength to strength; rightfully earning its place alongside other top addresses in the region. Today, Bernard has relinquished many of his duties to a more than capable successor, his son Alexandre, who is picking up the baton with the same passion and dedication to quality.

Working with great respect and care for their terroir, the wines of Schoffit never seem to disappoint. Regardless of whether it be their world-renowned Grand Cru Rangen releases, or those from their holdings on the alluvial soils of the Lieu-Dit ‘Harth’, they achieve remarkable purity, ripeness, expressiveness and a marked balance and finesse with every wine they produce: making them a real joy to drink. Working completely organically, and as of recently, following many biodynamic principles, the family is totally committed to sustainability: maintaining happy and flourishing vineyards which help them in turn achieve the purest expression of each varietal possible.

If you’re on the lookout for some of the best value wines in Alsace, or alternatively are simply a fan of Alsacian wines and have yet to experience any of Schoffit’s Scintillating range, today we have just the wines for you. The delicious 2021 Pinot Auxerrois and 2019 Gewurztraminer ‘Cuvée Caroline’ are sublime expressions of each varietal, and also act as the perfect gateway into the wines from one of the most consistent producers in the region. Truly, you can always be sure of Schoffit!
