Gewurztraminer Reserve 2017
Boxlers generic Gewurztaminer ‘Reserve’ is from 40–65 year old vines, taken from varying plots on his limestone dominant lieux-dits: Heimbourg and Pfoeller, just outside of Niedermorschwihr. The terroir from these plots tends to produce a slightly more elegant expression of the variety, compared with the bigger, broader, more intense and age-worthy expression that comes from the ‘Brand’ grand cru. This cuvée has a beautifully pure and elegant bouquet offering clear aromas of rose, litchi, honeyed tropical fruits, sweet spices and Turkish Delight. Wonderfully pure and expressive on the palate, with delicious, ripe litchi styled fruit and subtle notes of ginger, spice and smoke. Whilst maintaining the typicity of a Gewurztraminer, with opulence, spice, ample richness and gentle smoke, the palate is seemingly not at all heavy. Even clocking in with 35 grams of residual sugar, it is never cloying, it is pure, vibrant and elegant, and again with a length that goes on for days, as do all of Jean’s stunning wines. Wonderful with Thai curry or Cantonese style cuisine, meat dishes accompanied by cream sauces and mushrooms and perfectly partnered with strong cheese.

We deliver to most of the UK within one to two working days using specialist wine couriers London City Bond.
Click and collect not available for wine
Wine is shipped directly from our bonded warehouse so unfortunately you can't use Click and Collect for wine.
Delivery options
At the checkout you can leave instructions for the courier to deliver to a neighbours address or left in a safe place around your home if you are out. You can also send to an alternative address such as your work.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country.
