As previously stated, a quality Loire white and Rhône rouge are a beautiful and complimentary combination at any time of year. Our first duo are perfect as elegant, well-crafted and approachable crowd pleasers, however, our premium Loire and Rhone pairing aims to take it up a notch. Meaning to be more thought provoking, showcasing more serious wines, designed to experienced, sipped and savoured, and that have the structure and depth to be able to really shine alongside a variety of complex and lavish dishes. Firstly, we feature one of the stunning single-vineyard cuvées from Chateau de la Roulerie. The ‘Les Magnolias’ is a deliciously intense Chenin Blanc, with an enticing peach and nectarine fruit profile, backed by warming hints of ginger, combined with an elegant mineral line and fine acidity. It is elegant and rounded on the palate with a subtle salty note on a long, clean and gourmet finish. Secondly, we bring you the 2014 Gigondas tradition, from Thierry Faravel of Domaine la Boussiere, often regarded as one of the finest, if not the finest, winemakers in Gigondas…. And this speaks for itself. Brimming with vibrant and fresh red and black fruits and mellow tannins, this is an unctuous Gigondas, almost Burgundian with black pepper, plums, leafy herbs and plenty of earthy minerality. Both of these wines are an absolute pleasure to experience on their own, but will pair wonderfully with a variety of meals, providing you with no shortage of options on how to enjoy them this Christmas.

Wine is shipped directly from our bonded warehouse so unfortunately you can't use Click and Collect for wine.
