2013 Coeur de Cuvée
Laurents range of champagnes is almost undoubtedly the most impressive of any growers throughout the world. The fact that there is no chink in the armour or imperfection in any of his wines only amplifies the mind-boggling achievement that is his Coeur de Cuvee. This is his Stairway to Heaven…. His Paint it Black…. His Sergeant Pepper…. His Piece de Resistance. Opening with rich notes of brioche and hazelnut, followed by subtle notes of vanilla and dried fruits with a little citrus lingering in the background. This is one of the most sumptuous and astonishing palates I have ever tasted. Elegant, yet powerful with an harmonious balance. This is a true gourmet wine, both round, ample but with exceptional freshness and persistence. The perfect partner for dishes such as Crayfish, Scallop Tartare or Foie Gras.

2013 Cuvee Emotion
The wine that single-handedly changed my perception of what Rosé Champagne could taste like. The elder sibling of the Cuvée Rubis, this cuvée raises the bar in every regard. At 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, compared with the Cuvée Rubis 90% PN, and coming from over 60 year old vines, the Emotion is denser, richer and more complex. It completely charms you from the start, seducing you with its floral and unctuous red fruit nose and its ample, round and complex palate of strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry, vanilla and slight pomelo grip on the finish. The bouquet of fruit is wonderfully supported by subtle notes of almond, cinnamon and honey and even a gentle hint of woody spice. The length, as with all of Laurents wines, is simply from another realm, creamy, pure and pristine. All of the component parts are in absolute harmony with each other, with equal parts power and equal parts finesse, this wine is guaranteed to blow you away. If anyone ever says that great Rosé Champagne does not exist…. Ahem…. Slowly push this bottle forward.

2011 Blanc de Blancs
Only produced during the very best vintages, Laurent's Blanc de Blancs is without a doubt one of the finest Champagnes on the planet. Made from over 60-year-old vines grown on Laurent's finest micro parcel, Les Blanches Voies, there are only 2100 numbered bottles of this cuvée on the market. Composed of 100% Chardonnay, and aged for 84 months on its lees in the cellar, this cuvée is the epitome of finesse. On the nose, we are greeted with a harmonious bouquet of lemon, lime and grapefruit supported by subtle vanilla notes and roasted hazelnuts. The palate continuously evolves, opening up with a variety of dried fruits highlighted by vanilla and hazelnut, followed by apricots, ripe pear and honeysuckle flavours. However, without a doubt, the most alluring aspect of this wine is its incredible minerality and its delicate and silky texture. There is so much breadth and complexity on the palate, yet the wine remains chiseled and focused and mouth-watering. The constant evolution of enticing flavours on the palate truly makes it feel like a crime to swallow. The balance and length is also truly mind boggling, you will be tasting this wine well into next week. This is a wine, that although will be special to drink now, will also change and evolve over the coming 10-15 years, if one can resist it long enough to cellar it!
Awarded 96 out of 100 points by William Kelley of the Wine Advocate.

2005 Cava Gran Reserva Premium 'Mas Via'
One of the two top cuvées from Mestres, and one of the finest and most complex Cavas on the planet. From 60-year-old vines and aged for over 140 months in bottle after 12 months in Chestnut barriques, the Mas Via retains a little more fruit than the very toasty and oxidative Clos Damiana. Very elegant and aromatically rich, this wine absolutely erupts from the glass and explodes on the palate. Ripe and exotic golden apples, quince and peach is offset and balanced perfectly by complex notes of toasted bread, roasted nuts and dried fruits. The palate is powerful, mature, balanced, focused and very structured. The addition of acidity and the wet stone minerality indicative of the Mestres style rounds and balances, creating an unforgettable experience. The wine seems to have an infinite finish and evolves before your eyes in the glass. If you love sparkling wines with lots of age, this is the wine for you.

2006 Cava Gran Reserva Premium 'Clos Damiana'
This breath-taking, long-aged Cava, is one of the two top cuvées from Mestres. From old bush vines of 60 years old, and aged for 14 years on its lees, the richness, depth and complexity of this wine is immense. It is dominated by intense aromas and flavours indicative of barrique and long lees aging: toasted bread, smoky notes, tobacco, ... evolving to mocca, roasty aromas, oxidative notes and dried fruits. The mouthfeel is structured, but the fine and integrated bubbles and acidity keep the wine from being too broad and overbearing, it is mouth-watering and more-ish. The elegance, attractiveness and minerality is never lost. This is up there with the greatest Cavas you will ever taste.

2012 Cava Gran Reserva Premium 'Clos Nostre Senyor'
With 9 years of lees aging, this is an intensely creamy, medicinal, mineral and complex Cava. The palate is chock full of delicious nectarine and peach fruit, accompanied by an intense nuttiness and creaminess (pastries and bread). There is also a herbaceous and warming toasted backbone as well. The balance is truly harmonious, with a welcome mouth-watering acidic lift and a very long finish.
