One of the most exciting recent additions to our portfolio, the wines of Anna Muzzonlini at Vini Grillo Iole, by the border of Slovenia, have completely captivated us and all those who have tasted them with the irresistible charm of their wines. This mixed case contains a selection of the entry level offerings from Anna, and acts as the perfect gateway into her refined style. The Ribolla Gialla has a lovely poise and stylish, refreshing balance. White peach and apple come through on a silky textured palate, with attractive nuances of almond and zesty mineral notes. Next up we have Anna’s fragrant, mineral and pure Merlot. The palate is intense and attractive, bursting with sour cherries and red currants with delicate hints of sweet raspberries. Clean and mineral, with a wonderful elegance and overall balance, this is a really well-crafted crowd-pleasing Merlot. The Refosco sings with the same purity and vibrancy as the Merlot, however is slightly more structured, with a fabulous concentration and density on the palate which showcases darker and richer cherries and hints of dark chocolate. Definitely the perfect partner to a variety of game dishes this Christmas!
