2018 P’tit Chenin

From one of Anjou’s best, Phillip Germain’s introductory Chenin Blanc from schist soils is a great gateway into the exotic and mineral expression of the variety from this appellation. The attractive nose has a lovely ripeness of slightly honeyed fruit and scents of white flowers. This is followed by a surprising intensity and complexity on the palate for a wine at this level, with ample richness of ripe, honeyed apricot and apple fruits, harmoniously balanced by a refreshing, vibrant acidity. This delicious P’tit Chenin has a grand character and a real touch of class. The perfect wine to enjoy by the glass, as an aperitif, or to partner fish and chicken dishes.

2018 Petit F…

From one of the acknowledged masters of Pouilly Fumé, Michel Redde’s Petit F…. is a great gateway into the unique expression of Sauvignon Blanc from this appellation. Rich, lively and fresh, there is a great delineation and minerality to compliment the ripe fruit. The palate sings with super pure, ripe and aromatic fruit and fine, flinty nuances. Fresh apples, grapefruit, limes and gooseberries all come through on the refreshingly tart mouth-watering palate, accompanied by a hint of the flinty smokiness synonymous with the region; and which increases as you make your way up the range. There is a real touch of class here, it is clean, refined, persistent and elegant.

2018 Petit Verdot

A surprisingly sophisticated, vibrant and well-balanced expression of Petit Verdot from one of the finest wineries in La Mancha. This wine comes from old vines cultivated in limestone and clay soils at high altitudes, gifting the wine a lovely minerality and acidity to complement the density and concentration of fruit. A beautifully pure cherry red colour, the nose is aromatic and the scents of deep black and purple fruits leap from the glass. The palate is dense and lively with blackberries, plums and briar fruits combined with hints of vanilla and spices from its 6 months in barrel. The finish is delightfully pure and long. This will match perfect with grilled red meats, roasts, spicy cuisine and all types of cheeses.
