Jean Claude Lapalu
Vin de France Alma Mater 2014
With an unusual maceration between 40 and 50 days in terracotta amphoras of 420 litres and then aged in vats between 7 and 10 months. This cuvee has a sumptuous silky and mineral palate of ripe sweet black cherries, violet and liquorice. This Alma Mater (Latin for "Mother Earth") is characterized by a beautiful balance between fullness and finesse. A natural Beaujolais, rich, lively, and seductive.
