Champagne de Lozey

Champagne De Lozey was founded in 1871 and is run today by the 8th generation, Philippe Cheurlin. A driven and quality focused producer, Phillipe consistently produces pristinely balanced Champagnes, which are incredibly refined, pure, elegant and vibrant. He has the benefit of being able to draw from an impressive stock of mature reserve wines, of up to 10 years of age, for his non-vintage blends, allowing him to maintain a consistent quality and house style.

The Blanc de Blanc NV, is very crisp and smooth, without lacking subtlety. The white floral and almond notes on the nose, are reminiscent of a fine Puligny. On the palate it finds the right balance between intensity and finesse, whilst being accentuated by a beautifully long clean and fresh finish. The Extra Brut is 100% Pinot Noir. It has a lovely purity again but is deeper, more intense and structured than the Blanc de Blancs. The emphasis here is more on the minerality than the floral notes. Long, steely and vibrant with saline minerality on the finish. Delicious!
