Jean-Louis Moissenet-Bonnard
Domaine Moissenet Bonnard is run today by Jean-Louis, who inheritied the domaine from his Grand Father in 1988, and his daughter Emmanuelle-Sophie. After taking over, Jean Louis, having a real passion for the land and vines, invested greatly in improving the conditions in the vineyards, bottling the domaines wines (which the family had not previously done) and increasing the domaines holdings. Today the estate is comprised of 5.5ha, across 20 plots, spread over 5 different Burgundy appellations. An organic approach is taken to the cultivation of their vineyards, but due to the less strict approaches of their neighbours, they cannot be fully certified as organic, however, since 2012, they have been certified HVE (High Environmental Value). Fermentation is carried out with natural yeast and at bottling, minimal sulphur is used, in order to preserve the life and energy of the wine.
