Quintas do Homem

Located in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, with 25 hectares of vines, Quinta do Homem is a traditional winery that produces 100% estate bottled wines,. This is a true rarity in a region dominated by cooperatives. It was established in 1985 by Antonio Miranda, who continues to work the vineyards to this day, along with his son Nuno, who now runs the company. It is one of those estates that immediately captivates you with the charm, passion and drive of its guardians. With the help of long time winemaker and friend Ana, they are determined to show the purity, refinment and elegance possible in Vinho Verde. Nuno and his father, Antonio, work the vines of their two vineyards, 12 Ha in Quinta do Veiga and 7 in Quinta do Paço, both located in the heart of the Minho, where they grow predominately Loureiro and Arinto. They are committed to the policy of "integrated agriculture" (Lutte Raisonee), meaning that they farm as naturally as possible, trying to increase biodiversity, establishing a balanced environment in the vineyards. The winery, located in the town of Braga, was remodeled in 2011 with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. The ‘Loureiro’, is zesty and vibrant, full of fine floral and citrus fruit aromas. It is fresh and elegant in the mouth and has a wonderfully balanced acidity. It will go perfectly with a wide variety of seafoods.
