Barolo ‘Vecchie Viti’ 2018
The ‘Vecchie Viti’ is Claudio’s generic Barolo taken from a range of vines throughout his Barolo vineyards. The grapes for 2018 release are mainly taken from Claudio’s incredible ‘Bricco Boschis’ vineyard site. Compared to Rocche di Castiglione, the soil here is much richer in clay, resulting in Barolos with more intense color, bigger structure and pronounced tannins, all of which contributes to the wine’s longevity. This wine has a dark and inetnese garnet colour in the glass, and the nose engulfs with scents of raspberries, cherries, liquorice, spice, nutmeg and a slight earthiness. The palate is incredibly deep, rich and full of fruit and character, whilst still maintaining a delicate nature and silky tannins. The balance and purity as with all of Claudio’s wines really stands out, as well as the long and vibrant finish. This is a big wine that will age wonderfully for many years to come, but that can be enjoyed now if given the time to open.

Wine is shipped directly from our bonded warehouse so unfortunately you can't use Click and Collect for wine.

At the checkout you can leave instructions for the courier to deliver to a neighbours address or left in a safe place around your home if you are out. You can also send to an alternative address such as your work.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
