Gauntleys Mixed Wine Cases
Sunshine in a Bottle - Three Bottle Special Offer Mixed Case

In stock
£57.10   £51.95

This mixed case contains 1x each of the following wines:

2021 Pink Pegau – Chateau du Pegau
2020 Fleur d’Eglantine – Chateau Mourgues du Gres
2021 Bandol Rosé – Domaine du Gros Noré

This case contains three enticing, unique and classy expressions of rosé, from some of our favourite producers. Starting in the Southern Rhône with the delightful Pink Pegau from Chateau du Pegau and our beloved Laurence Feraud. Elegant and refreshing whilst retaining plenty of Southern Rhone richness and character, this salmon dressed rosé sings with hints of peaches, gooseberries and redberries with a gentle backing of pepper, spice and herbs. Drink as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a range of dishes, however it will undoubtedly pair wonderfully with variety of fishes and vegetable dishes in creamy sauces!

We then dive on down a little further to the Costières de Nîmes, where we serve up a fabulously fresh, deliciously delicate and vibrant rosé, from our beloved GSM blend. The Fleur d'Eglantine is dry on the palate, with delicious red berry/strawberry and red currants shining through, a fine saline minerality and a refreshing lift of acidity to balance everything. It has wonderful focus, vibrancy and finesse. Delicious on its own and perfect with grilled fish, chicken, pork and vegetable dishes or spring/summer salads.

Then finally, to round out proceedings, we return to the original home of great French rosé, Provence! Here, we indulge in the 2021 release of one of our firm favourites, the deep, refined and complex Bandol Rosé, from Domaine Gros Noré. A blend of 50% Mourvedre, 40% Cinsault and 10% Grenache, this rosé really shows what great rose can be. The wonderfully floral nose is accompanied by tantalizing fresh orange and strawberry fruits, balanced with a subtle spiciness. The palate shows lovely depth, focus and finesse, offering up a plethora of ripe fruits, such as peach, apricot, blood orange, cherries as well as honeysuckle. The balance here is impeccable with good concentration of fruit, plenty of brightening acidity and an abundance of gentle spices and Provençal character. A perfect partner to a wide variety of different spring and summer cuisines, or with sushi, salmon, and even with a prawn curry or beautiful pan-fried scallops.
