This wine is made from 100% Serine, an ancient variety of Syrah, grown in granite and clay-sandy soils and aged for 12 months in a combination of new and used oak, resulting in a complex and layered profile. On the nose, you'll detect notes of wild raspberry, blueberries, black pepper, incense and even a whiff of smoked bacon, classic of rustic Syrah from these parts. Its delightfully decadent palate is medium to full-bodied and shows excellent depth of fruit encased in ripe, supple tannins. The palate is dense and rich, whilst maintaining a wonderful vibrancy, singing with layers of blueberries, black cherries, black pepper and hints of black olives on a long-lasting and velvety finish. Enjoy this wine on its own or paired with grilled steak, lamb, or other hearty meats.

2019 was an exceptional vintage in the Northern Rhône, and Louis has taken full advantage. This cuvée is really coming into its own and starting to reveal all of its charms and is a top tier example from this appellation.
